The Bismarck Mandan Garden Club is a friendly group, open to men and women of all ages.

 The purpose of the club is to promote interest and knowledge in the culture of flowers, trees, shrubs and vegetables; native to or adaptable to this region; to learn of the flora of other areas; to encourage the care and protection of plant and bird life; to foster city planting and beautification; and to learn how to best use our plants and flowers in making our homes and gardens more attractive.

April 26, 2014:
Prairie Gardening Day, Williston, ND

Williston Research Extension Center, 14120 Highway 2 West, Williston, ND

NDSU faculty and researchers will present classes on ornamental grasses, trees for North Dakota, annuals, perennials, small fruits, and other topics. The workshop runs from 8:00 a.m. To 3:00 p.m. And includes lunch. To register, please email or or call 701-774-4315. If registered in advance, the registration fee is $10. On the day of the event, registration is $15.

May 1, 2014:
Apple Grafting Workshop, Hankinson, ND

Location: Richland County Extension
Richland County Extension is sponsoring two apple grafting workshops. Choose from either the 9:00 a.m. To 12:00 p.m. Session or from 1:00 p.m. To 4:00 p.m. Both workshops will take place at the American Legion Learning Center. June 26, 2014:
Pretty Bloomers Field Trip
Location:MN Landscape Arboretum, Breckenridge, MN

Pretty Bloomers in Wahpeton-Breckenridge are sponsoring a one-day field trip to the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum & Noerenberg Memorial Gardens. They will depart from Breckenridge, MN at 6:15 a.m. And return to town by 10:00 p.m. They will also stop at Fergus Falls, MN to pick up additional participants. To reserve a spot, payment of $60.00 Please note:  this is not the Master Gardener field trip. That will be scheduled for early August and will involve an overnight stay.
